# SP-19 is an inorganic Zinc Chloride activated water soluble paste flux, specifically formulated for general soldering applications where Liquid flux may be hazardous or difficult to use. Except aluminium and stainless steel, most metal surfaces can be soldered effectively with SP-19. Being zinc chloride-based, the flux is not recommended for electronics components/assemblies applications. The paste flux is non-flammable and will dramatically reduced VOC emissions.
Being in paste form, this flux can be applied to metal surfaces by brushing, dipping or dispensing methods. After applying paste flux, soldering process can be achieved by convection oven, Torch flame or soldering-iron methods. For general purpose applications like plumbing or radiator soldering, simply wipe-off the residue with damp cloth. The flux residue should be removed after soldering to avoid corrosion problem. With the aid of # 5005 bio-cleaner, SP-19 post soldering residue can be dissolved, followed by hot water rinse. |
